Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden (RSABG), the largest botanic garden dedicated exclusively to California’s native plants, strives to display, document and conserve the remarkable flora of California.

Located at an elevation of 1,350 feet on the outwash plain of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Garden's 86 acres offer panoramic views of the mountain range throughout the year.

The Garden has a large collection of Manzanitas that flower from late November through early March. Throughout the peak blooming season of March and April, spring wildflowers, perennials and shrubs bloom in waves color. Be sure to see the collection of California Wild Lilacs (Ceanothus) in profuse early spring flower. Summer and fall months provide a more subtle color and texture to the Garden when native fruit and seed ripen.

Self-guided interpretive brochures are available at the California Garden Shop and enable visitors to fully enjoy the three distinct areas of the Garden: Indian Hill Mesa, the East Alluvial Gardens and the Plant Communities.

The Garden is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please check our calendar for what's happening around the Garden.
